Aspect of the skin in the ultra sound scan
Phyto-androzyme®
Efficacy test

The clinical trial
The aim was to text a cream containing Phyto-Androzyme® with a population of male volunteers to assess its anti-wrinkle and redensifying effect.

To make the test as foolproof as possible, the double blind method was used, as for drug trials. That meant that neither the volunteers nor the examiner knew which cream was applied to the skin, before reading the results, which guarantees total objectivity in their interpretation.

Thus, twice a day for 2 months, half of the volunteers applied to face and neck the cream containing the active ingredient, i.e. Phyto-Androzyme® 1%, and the other half applied the same cream but without the active ingredient.

To measure the redensifying effect, which shows a better quality of collagen, a high-frequency skin ultra-sound scan was used.

To measure the anti-wrinkle effect, we used a skin surface imaging software which measures the total wrinkled surface around the crows' feet area before starting to apply the cream, then after 1 and 2 months' use.
